A Night of Celebration with the Bo’ness Belles
Storehouse receiving a cheque from the Bo'ness Belle, Christine

It was a night to celebrate at the Bo’ness Old Kirk on Thursday. The Bo’ness Belles, who have been singing tirelessly throughout the year, were handing out the proceeds of their fundraising musical performances to various charities in the community.

The Storehouse was elated to receive a portion of the money raised by the Belles. Mike, chairperson of the Storehouse, humbly accepted a cheque for £600 from Bo’ness Belle Christine.

The Storehouse foodbank would like to thank the Belles for their very generous donation. Every penny will go back into the community to help those in need of food support.

It has been a busy few weeks for the food bank. With the help and generosity of churches, schools and businesses in the community, we were able to procure all the items needs for this year’s Christmas hampers. And, thanks to all our volunteers, delivery of the hampers to those in need went like clockwork. A big thank you to everyone who took part for all your assistance and for giving what you could to make this happen.

Très Belle
21 August 2023

Many in the community will be aware that the group generously donates the proceeds of their concerts to local charities; the vocal talents of the group have raised about £37,000 so far. However, some may not be aware that the Bo’ness Storehouse Foodbank is fortunate to have one of the Bo’ness Belles as a regular volunteer. Christine regularly assists with the sorting, packing and delivery of food parcels to those in need in the local community.

The Bo’ness Storehouse Foodbank is truly humbled by all of Christine’s selfless hard work and we are hugely appreciative of everything that Christine has achieved for the food bank and the community. Thank you, Christine!
