Foundation Scotland’s Communities in Crisis Grant

9 November 2023
The Bo’ness Storehouse Foodbank is delighted to share the news that we have received a Funded by Communities In Crisis grant, which is administered by Foundation Scotland. This much needed grant provides us with enough funds to secure our foodbank for the next 12 months and ensure we can continue to purchase and distribute food to those in need in our town. The volunteers and trustees at the Bo’ness food bank are extremely grateful to Foundation Scotland for accepting our application and elated that we can use this funding to continue to help the people of Bo’ness.

Très Belle

21 August 2023
Only last week, locals enjoyed an evening of entertainment at the Glebe Park Bandstand, where the Bo’ness Belles hosted Belles in the Park, a free event celebrating the 10th anniversary of the choir’s formation. The Belles sang a variety of songs to the delight of many locals.

Many in the community will be aware that the group generously donates the proceeds of their concerts to local charities; the vocal talents of the group have raised about £37,000 so far. However, some may not be aware that the Bo’ness Storehouse Foodbank is fortunate to have one of the Bo’ness Belles as a regular volunteer. Christine regularly assists with the sorting, packing and delivery of food parcels to those in need in the local community.
The Bo’ness Storehouse Foodbank is truly humbled by all of Christine’s selfless hard work and we are hugely appreciative of everything that Christine has achieved for the food bank and the community. Thank you, Christine!

Not for the first time, young Eilidh has been supporting The Storehouse, this time with a large selection of Easter eggs and other treats to be distributed amongst our clients. Eilidh gathered together these donations from her school mates, family and friends. Thanks again Eilidh!
